Most DLP projectors have a sealed light engine path and don't have any filters at all. So, you either are smoking, and running dusty stuff while near the projector, and allowing that dust into the unit... WebMost projectors are designed in a way to keep the light path separate from the cooling path, but there are stories of people using compressed air and pushing dirt into the light path, resulting in bigger problems. Some projectors might have filters. But my projector has no obvious way to clean it so I didn't. 5 years later it's fine.. Reply
