WitrynaThe solution is (read to the end if steps one and four make you think this is a non-starter): Invoke the trim command and remove a few seconds from the beginning and end of the clip. Click "Trim". Move playhead to arbitrary point in the middle of the clip. The "Split Clip" menu option should no longer be greyed out, select it to split the clip. WitrynaNo matter what you do to the filenames the metadata of the images of when they were created will be used by iMovie when you import them so they always get sorted by date, old to new in iMovie. I got round this first by copying all (1,021 files for me) of the files to a test folder to work on in case it went wrong.
WitrynaIn short, I use IMovie averagely I would say for someone that has never had any guidance. My only common problem is my transitions between clips don't consistently work. I usually use a 1s cross zoom. Best example, in a current project, I have about a 6 minute picture in a picture clip that I want to put a 40 second other clip in the middle.
